Nature

i just want to say a word or two
about the nature of things,
if i could just figure out
what that is..
the nature of things that is..
Nature is not
what we want it to be, or is
too often what we don't want.
But we cry, "Nature"
"Get back to nature."
does that mean wrap yourself up
in a thundercloud and
whisk yourself away
to totoland
or ride the tail of a hurricane
or live on the edge of a volcano
or swim the ocean
or live in a cave
or build a fire with 2 sticks.
Or...
no fire at all.
just
sit around waiting for lightning
to strike
so you can carry the ember around
for a couple of years
